Scott grew up in the world of music. He learned percussion in grade school and later turned to the guitar. He also had a fascination with the business side of the music. His first job in the industry was during high school summer break in the mail room of Arista Records. Then, during college he was a local promotion person for Mic Mac Records and in just a 3 year period after graduating college Scott started his first record label, partnering with a "Rave" production company (Adrenalin). Shortly after he launched C&S records for more alternative genres. Both labels were at the forefront and cutting edge of dance/electronic music, releasing some of the most innovative titles in an ever emerging genres. Whether it was progressive trance, tribal, drum & bass, acid jazz or some undetermined genre, Scott was in the thick of it. The labels had an enormous imprint on NYC Club culture with Partnerships with the Limelight and top promoter like Stuck on Earth and GBH. Whatever the label was Scott was sure to release his own original material and remix projects that he signed and continued to grow as an artist, musician, songwriter, producer, and remixer. releasing music under a slew of artist names and playing the New York club scene with his first band Poppyseed.
In 2000 Scott launched Topaz Records which achieved tremendous success, releasing project from some of the biggest DJ's in the world. It was at this point that Scott made a conscious effort to concentrate on the creative process and production (under the name Organica) rather than having the focus on signing artists / DJ's to the label.
After selling Topaz Records Scott started Poppyseed Music (named after his first band) a production/ music branding company which worked with all of the brands mentioned on this website.
Most recently Scott launched P2 Branding, a partner ship with Wu-Tang. The future promises to reveal more creative ventures and surprises. Creativity knows no bounds!
